In March and April 2007 I was lucky enough to visit a small rural community in Benin, West Africa with 10 other volunteers with a charity called Hands Around The World. We were there to assist local people in re-building a flood-damaged school in the village of Dogba.
These are some photos of the building project, the local people and the beautiful countryside. It was an experience that I will never forget: the joyful faces of the children, hard-working men and women, voodoo dances, the heat and humidity, the poisonous snakes...will stay with me forever.
